Getuigenis van Gods Liefde

Dutch Roman Catholic Magazine
Getuigenis van Gods Liefde
(Testemony of the Love of God)
Founded in 1985 by Dutch multi-millionairs Piet and Trude Derksen, founders of Center Parcs.

Mid 70s last century the last Dutch Catholic newspaper, De Tijd changed to a weekly.Within some years the Netherlands had again a R.C. newspaper, the Katholiek Nieuwblad. It started as a twice a week full format newspaper under Henk Gallée in 1983, with about 15.000 subscriptions. Three years later the bimontual Getuigenis van Gods Liefde (Testemony of the Love of God), free distributed by post thanks to the Foundation with the same name as this full color magazine. The colofon did not mention a redaction, but Ed Arons, the later editor-in-chief of the Katholiek Nieuwsblad had his editorial on page 3 and stamped this last Roman Catholic glossy of the Netherlands. The Foundatiom had also an international tv channel, Lumen 2000 and a family-magazine called Manna, under the direction of Mat Herben, later foreman of the List Pim Fortuyn.
